The place is famous for Hemingo birds. These birds comes here every year from Siberia between July and September. Its really an amazing view. Through Khireshwar village, one can visit the famous Harishchandragadh too. The actual points of interest associated with Malshej Ghat would be the Shivenri Fort, in which the excellent Maratha leader Shivaji Maharaj was created, Buddhist caverns from the third millennium, Harishchandragadh, Ozar as well as Lenyadri, Ganesh as well as Shiva wats or temple.
Within the Sahyadris there are a numer of beautiful hill stations, one such hill station is Malshej Ghat, standing at 700 metres high. 

This hill station is renowned for its number of waterfalls,  lakes and serene mountains. Beautiful waterfalls, verdant green hillsides, interesting rock formations the hill station of Malshej Ghat has all of this. Adding to the scenic horizons in Malshej Ghat are the flamboyant flamingoes, which come here between July and September all the way here from Europe. For those seeking a picturesque holiday or a special honeymoon, Malshej Ghat is the place to be. In addition to its spectacular flora and fauna, Malshej Ghat has historic forts, resorts and sanctuaries.
