Most of the time, we confused on the topic, " Where to go this weekend?"
Current scenerio shows that there is vast demand of water falls & rainy picnic spots, As I already said that, on weekend day i.e. on saturday & sundays all dam area's , forts are so crowded that you can't enter and enjoy. Therefore, I started discovering new places with route maps & hotel , resort informations. I also included timing & how to reach with places near by it to visit, so that well planned trip will give you more enjoy &excitement
Today we will see the route of the Nilkantheshwar temple, one of the biggest temple of Lord Shiva with lot of statues of GOD. All statues are very beautifully carved & prsentated in such a way, that will remember our stories of GOD. Also Lord Shankar, Shiva , Mahadev or Nilkantheshwar temple is there on the the hill.
You can see three dams at a time from the temple area & that view is amazing. This id the only placed where you can have such a nice view of khadakwasala back water, Panshet dam & Varasgaon dam.
To reach Nilkantheshwar You have to come below Warje bridge then take a NDA road then after few km's you reached upto the NDA gate move in straight direction to reach Kudje, Mandavi,Jambhali. Then at Jambhali there is a hoading at right hand side giving direction of Nilkantheshwar temple. From Jambhali road is rough. /move slowly towards temple. then after 1.5 to 2km park your vehicle & start walking to reach the temple. Pune to Nilkantheshwar temple distance is 40 km.
So many trekkers coming from Lavasa to this place. All area & road from Lavasa to Nilkantheshwar is through mountains & lots of tree as like in forest.
Near by attraction to this place are
1. Panshet Dam
2. Varasgaon Dam
3. Sinhgad Fort
4. Khadakwasla Choupati
